Some good advice here, Kathy, from Rene. Don't be down on yourself. It's
as she says - chronic disease, chronic pain, work, family and
responsibilities. We care. Nanny

Kathy,
There is absolutely no reason you should feel mad at yourself. You have a
disease. You have limitations because of that disease. Just because your
family doesn't understand does not mean you are doing anything wrong.
If you have kids at home, they can be taught to do many of their own and
the household's chores. Even little kids can pick up their toys and put
them in a box. If you have teens, they need to learn to take care of
themselves. They also need to learn to be human and help to take care of
others.
Educate those you can. There are many good things in AMF's Newbie FAQ's -
posted monthly. There will always be some people who have closed minds
and will not change their ignorant opinions. These are people you may
have to figure out how you can relate to. Recently, I've have to cut out
2 family members whom I truly love, but who are toxic to me. If they ever
come to understand, and accept me as I am, I will joyfully welcome them
back. You will have to decide if their actions are more harmful to you
than you can put up with.
I hope you get to feeling better. I'm happy you came here to vent.
René

Each day I am like a wind up toy. As the day progresses I start losing
energy and my pain increases. By the time I arrive home I can barely
get out of the car. I am my sole support so quitting work is out of
the question. My family thinks I am just LAZY and I stay depressed
because I don't feel like housework or even doing things I enjoy. I
try not to complain but just needed to vent today. I'm lonely but
don't feel like going anywhere--hungry but don't feel like cooking
anything--got to wash clothes for work tomorrow but haven't done that
either. I get so mad at myself. Thanks for listening to me. Kat
