They're running the tests tomorrow, should have the results back
Wednesday, and we'll go from there. But at least SOMEONE is
finally taking me seriously when I say I need help.
Good luck Kitten! Hope you get to the bottom of this soon...
Thanks. They should have the results back tomorrow. They're doing an
entire blood workup - diabetes, thyroid, cholestrol, etc. I haven't
had a complete blood workup in forever, so I guess I'm overdue.
You can say that again! Er- but don't: I'll take it as written already.
:-) Even if all the blood work comes back with no abnormalities it's
always good to have a reference point. Glad to hear they're being
thorough!
I also made sure they still have a copy of that Aspie online quiz I
did, the one where I scored 160+ and the "now" and 175 on the
"before."
Oh hey, have you ever had someone else fill it out with you in mind?
Might be interesting to compare, you know?
The PA knows nothing about Aspergers, the friends at church who are
docs told me to get a complete blood workup before looking into an
Aspergers dx, and I keeps saying, "Who can help me get my life
organized so this isn't causing such a problem???"
OI!!
Exactly, might as well claim to be from Mars: you reached their
answering service, it seems. :-/
It's amazing how people look at you when you tell them you have a
problem, then you start trying to tell them what the problem is. It's
also amazing how they seem to try to avoid you if they have any sort
of pre-conceived notion of your dx(s).
Yup, I had one psychiatrist tell me it was no good trying to compensate
for or manage ADHD: I'd always be reckless, risk-taking and all that so
any effort to learn would be pointless! LOL: then he went on to say my
SO doesn't have ADHD just cause I think he does but my SO was DX'd when
he was a young teen and *was in the room telling the guy so*.<sigh>
Sometimes people just tune out, eh?
An anxiety disorder can be equally damning: once diagnosed anything that
can and will go wrong with your body/head is called a symptom of the
anxiety disorder... *aargh!* That's how I ended up walking around with a
small pituitary adenoma for what must have been over a year.
You *will* get this sorted some way or another, you're strong and
resourceful, right? :-)
