This is a lady who means well, but she just doesn't *get* perceptions
coming from an angle other than her own a lot of times. If she'd heard
*my* side of things first, she'd have been telling me to stand up for
myself with Chewy and the kids. But she heard *his* side of things, so
she was standing up for his right to be heard... without hearing any
other side of the story.

The road to hell... ;\

IMO she was out of order though, no matter how well
intentioned she may have been. But I'm outside my limits
commenting on this I guess.

I think you're right to insist on "no more yelling" though.
You are not asking anything unreasonable in expecting a
modicum of respect and a willingness to hear your wishes
and understand how things work for you.
One step at a time huh?

but i think we all know folks like this.... the kind who tell you what they
think 'you' want to hear. i wonder if these kind of folks ever have a
'solid opinion' regarding things..... wishy-washy is what my mom called it
when i was a kid, still fits IMHO

so, now, taking the words from the source, her opinion doesn't really mean
that much.... but her actions were IMO very outta line.
And i bet the pastors wife understood that as well ;-) most times
wishy-washy folks are already known quite well, and their antics are just
brushed off. Kitten did good confronting her with logic <g> and i bet the
pastors wife has already mentioned this to others on the grapevine ;-)
