Quinine helped me with restless leg syndrome.
I would love to go to Dr Weil's Center. Have you had the pleasure?

Jamie, I love researching so here is what I have been doing for the
sleep apnea. I take Melatonin an hour before bed. The doctor, who
diagnosed me on Friday, stated that is great as it is natural and he
wants me to use it nightly, every night. Before I lay down, I put
Vicks rub under my nose, on the bridge of my nose and across the brow.
I can sleep better; breath better and I can get a full 8 to 10 hrs.
sleep when I do this. Now I will be doing it every night for the sleep
apnea and sinusitis that causes me to stop breathing every so often at
night
I lived in Phoenix, AZ for over 6 years, and my friends and I became
very involved with Holistic Medicine. For the pain I take 4 Tab 325
mg. Aspirin as needed with crackers and hot herbal tea, it works almost
immediately.
Cramping I take the over the counter for Leg Cramping it is amazing and
has quinine in it which is great for our sever cramping problems all
over our body.
The doctor agrees that I must not stop moving when awake at 3:30 a.m.,
4:30 a.m., 5:30 a.m. moreover, as late as 7:30 a.m. some days. Being
in college at 57, I have much computer work, so the sitting is very
bad. I told him what I have done to change the routine. I now set
alarms, to stop me when I am at the computer for 2 hrs., walk around
the house, outside, bring in some firewood for the wood burning stove,
pick up some things in the front yard, work in the sheds on crafts
etc., cut kindling and keep moving for at least 2 hrs. This has helped
in losing weight.
New Diet since November is from MyFreeDiet.com I am to eat all protein
first so I get the energy right off the bat and starches only at final
meal of the day. All are real small meals. To give you an example if
I eat out I take it home in a doggie bag and whatever it is lasts me
for a week for lunch or dinner depending on what it is I have ordered.
Since I am studying to be a Counseling Psychologist and my minor is in
Law, I relish research, and have taken my professors by surprise with
my research to earn "A's." I do have a problem with when in
sever pain or stress I have noticed I cannot remember what I did a
moment ago, or move things and have spent weeks looking for them. This
weekend a very important file, I need for my personal attorney on
Monday. I will find it or else. I have finished with two rooms in the
house, now the other two tomorrow. I do not know which causes this
problem if it is the Parkinson or Fibromyalgia. The tremors are minor
at this point with the Parkinson, so I sit on hands until they stop.
The one thing that has happened frequently is when picking up hot
liquids I am more careful, as in November last year I spilled scalding
hot tea on left top of my foot and the doctor who is my GP would not
touch it as it was a third degree burn. The blister was the size of an
orange so could not wear shoes until the middle of December, as the
sock I had on caused the burn to be very serious and the fear of a
infection was the doctors big concern. Since November of last year, I
have burned my arms twice only second or first degree, but I look like
I am being battered or abused as the doctor I saw at the Hospital on
Friday told me. That is what these diseases do to us the abuse us, but
we have to find ways to stop the abuse.
One thing that I researched was about why doctors are giving
antidepressants out for everything now a days. It is a major thing
they are all pushing & the doctor on Friday tried that one on me. I
told him about the Australian study where they found that
antidepressants are possibly to blame for the high number of Alzheimer,
Parkinson, and Dementia cases. The side effects cause you to be
zombies most of the time. Another thing that happened to me with a
pain drug was being kept on it too long, like 3 years. It caused
depression and my life was going great at the time, so I knew it was
not me, but something else. It took a neurologist to find that
Naproxen prescription and Aleve if used daily over several weeks causes
clinical depression.
I will let you know of other things I find when I am researching for my
courses and self-preservation.
