Heh. Mike, you're good for me.

She's a friend who had been listening to him as he talked out what was
causing him to be quiet and withdrawn during coffee time. That's just
*NOT* him to be that way.

So, of course, when I'm talking with our pastor's wife there at the
edge of the sanctuary instead of in the office, Chewy walked up from
one direction and this friend walked up from the other, they overheard
*part* of what I was saying, and she voiced her opinion. Our pastor's
wife was giving me sympathetic looks the entire time I was repeating,
"No more yelling," while the friend was supporting his right to yell
over this one particular issue that we both agreed he had a right to be
angry about.

This is a lady who means well, but she just doesn't *get* perceptions
coming from an angle other than her own a lot of times. If she'd heard
*my* side of things first, she'd have been telling me to stand up for
myself with Chewy and the kids. But she heard *his* side of things, so
she was standing up for his right to be heard... without hearing any
other side of the story.
