Good News...

HI,
I have to get to sleep quite soon, but I want to share some good news.
I got verbal word from the county that my medical assistance is approved. I
also found out that the same person that was in charge of approving my
medical assistance is in charge of approving my SSDI at the state. I also
found out that she (person at the state) finished all her work on the SSDI
stuff. So while I don't have direct word yet on the SSDI, my though is that
the lady at the state approved it. There is no reason I can think of that
she would have approved the Medical Assistance for the state and not the
SSDI.
I was told that they are randomly reviewing the work from the madison office
that this lady works in, and my SSDI stuff has to be reviewed down in
chigaco for like 1-2 weeks. So basically, I think that is a formality,
because she said they just are checking to make sure they are doing there
jobs properly in madison at the state level.
So in like 3 week, I will have the formal written approval, unless something
really weird happens with this federal review. All in all I guess it isnt
too bad, this is my first application, it did take like 6+ months now, but
(feb will be the 7th month) but getting it approved on the first round is
great. I don't think I would have handled the stress of a appeal, not to
mention the time it would have taken without money.
In the very near future, the medical assistance, which I hope to get info on
in the mail any time now will be great. I should be able to see my chiro
again and have it paid for, and I will be able to stop running up new
medical bills with my normal doc visits. And they should cover my co-pays
on meds or it will be like 2 or 4 dollars. much much better than $25
co-pays.
Despite a few other bumps in the road in my life, I am quite happy that I
got this news today, and I wanted to share it with the people online that I
know...
Jamie
