Antidepressants are often prescribed for PWFMS (People With Fms) as they help

such as prednisone were prescribed in the past when FMS was thought to be an

knowledgeable physician prescribed it for FMS these days.
People have had remission from FMS symptoms, but I have yet to find anyone who
has been cured of it. But people react differently to different treatments, so I
can not say what the outcome will be for your daughter (particularly since I am
not a doctor).
I hope she will be able to find a course of treatment that will help her, and
that may include pain meds or not.
