Oh, man; I love logic! But then one day I heard Ketterling's Law and it
opened me up to new realities. Ketterling Law says that "Logic is the
science of being wrong with certainty."
But my system is clean and I intend to keep it that way starting with a
good strong firewall that makes all of those would-be pop-up ads a
thing of the past. I turned off Messenger Service and there won't be
any more bogus warnings. I scan the programs I download for viruses,
and I limit the number of programs that I add to my system-- avoiding
suspect stuff like Macromedia or Yahoo's Messenger or chat programs.
And I stay away from programs I know nothing about that claim they can
clean my
Registry which is only a week or so old.
Safe computing, like safe sex, is the key to not only happiness but
also survival in the 21st century. ;-)
