I really hope your flare passes soon and that the meds get you through it with as little pain as possible.
Great news on the new job. I really hope you love it even though it will be different to your old job. Good luck.
Take care

Running around a not too safe city all night long doing psych evals at the local hospitals, was getting too hard, I was finding it harder and harder both physically and emotionally. I can do the psych, but seeing injured and ill people all around me in the ED's was very upsetting and all the constant running around was really getting to me physically.Plus it was a 70 minute commute if I didn't even see another car. If there was any tie up I could be on the road for up to 2 hours. So I applied for and obtained a position on the night shift at an eating disorder unit. It's a shorter commute, only about 45 minutes each way, and all high way. That's the good news. The bad news is I'm in major pain and just got back from my wonderful PCP. I told him I had stopped the elavil because of the weight gain about three weeks ago and at this point I can hardly move, he did a few things which made me leap off the table and agreed that I seemed to be in a lot of pain. Then we started arguing, something he pointed out we'd been doing for 16 years about pain meds. He wants me to take them and I see that as then end of my working life. We finally compromised, I'm going to take them for a few days to get past this really bad spot since I'm not scheduled to work for the rest of the week So I'm going to slouch around the house maybe stay in bed with my lap top and watch day time TV. Lets hope this takes care of this flare, which is the worst I have ever had.--fran
