Logic dictates that if (if already? Ha!) Windows (and it's
applications) is open to virus infestation (and remote
exploitation of its patched/botched code/processes), and you
re-install it, it will still be open to virus infestation
etc. (Hint = It is.)

Therefore, logically, to avoid running a virus-vunerable
computer, the solution would clearly be to start by
replacing the vunerable operating system (and applications)
with one that can be secured against such things.

And its not as if there are no viable (and securable!)
alternatives available, and its not as if these often far
more capable alternatives are not free to download and use
as you like.
