The numbness you describe is NOT carpal tunnel
Numbness in the little finger and the ring finger but not the side of the
finger next to the middle finger is the ULNA nerve.
The nerve runs up the outside of the arm and hand and if you sleep with
pressure on the elbow this is not unusual.
I have a severely damaged Ulna nerve on the left hand and have not had
feeling in those fingers where you described for almost 15 years. The nerve
can be repaired surgically, but my surgeon says he will cause more damage
than the surgery will correct, My nerve is damaged across the wrist.
Carpal tunnel will numb the rest of the hand except these two fingers.
