Seller Sob Stories and Excuses

This is as cynical as it gets, but I've been getting a few of these
lately. I'm a very seasoned ebayer and know how to file for a refund
etc. It's just the sob story excuse routine I'm here to bitch about.
I order a special edition DVD. Get the regular edition. Seller says:
"I'm blind" Probably is too. Personally I think that should be a
disclaimer he puts in the description. "Warning if you want the red
cover edition instead of the green, keep in mind that I'm blind as a
bat and they both feel the same to me."
Another time I got an updated version of the classic version I bid on
because the seller was looped on cancer meds. The wife gets on and
tells me that Marty is terminal and selling on ebay is all he has
left. But of course he's also out of his gourd. "Warning I'm dying and
on heavy duty meds, so my judgement is quite impaired."
Another time I win a necklace that's a thin silver chain that has
sticks of coral dotted around it. Surprise, surprise, sticks of coral
are fragile and some got busted up because the seller put the item in
a regular envelope. Then I hear about the dying sister that has to be
visited and how it'll be a month before a refund can be issued.
"Warning, I'm too stupid to use bubble wrap envelopes and will be
incommunicado 'cause I'll be tending dying siblings when your stuff
arrives busted up."
I buy two Indian bone chokers. After a week I hear that the husband
took all the chokers save one to an event and the second one will be
mailed next week. "Warning, I don't set aside the items I have for
sale and just hope I have them when I get around to looking for them a
week after your purchase."
There's more of course along the 10 year road of being an ebayer
(buyer and seller)....
