My wife and I had a wine pairing dinner at the Ritz and
the second glass of wine tasted awful. I was embarrassed
to tell the waiter but I did. He didn't say anything; he
just took it back. But when he came back out, he said
both he and the chef tried the wine and they both agreed
it was bad. I have also had a few bad meals over the
years; it's not the complaint that bothers the waitstaff,
it's the way one complains, and good restaurants want to
know if something is not quite right.

A "bad" bottle of whine is not something I would have a problem with saying
something about. I am talking about people who complain that food that is
fine was not served "right" or cooked just right, and then proceed to make a
scene, but then eat what comes up next.

Yeah, I've seen the type. Semi-passive-aggressive. They know the waitstaff
cannot return their vile nastiness, so they just invent problems that they can
complain about. If they only knew the shit that was put in their food
afterward... Heh...

Apparently, you have vast job experience with low-life restaurants that
don't care about their reputation?

We have other experience and knowledge, happily.

Enjoy your whine, because we know you'd take back a ten-cent item
to a Dollar Store after you've used it.
