Sold a silver bullion coin.
Seller lives in Canada, me USA.
I have 3,000+ fb and registered in 2001, he has 2+ and registered 3
padago.
He immediatly sent a message, asking how it was shipped, what kind of
dingtracking
used ect.
I told him, he said fine.
Then he asked me to send tracking info, I told him I don't offer
ontha
relatively low value items outside the USA, as the tracking cost more
nships
the item itself.
He said I should pay for the tracking.
He mailed again within an hour, asking when I was going to ship.
The auction ended on Thurs night, couldn't get to the PO FRI, so it
goiMON.
He said I should have shipped on FRI, and wanted to know how long its
ngshou
to take to get there.
Tiring of this, I told him shipments to Canada from the USA can be
unpredictable, sometimes arriving fairly quick, other times not.
I said 1-2 weeks would be my best guess, and suggested that maybe we
ldm
mutually agree to void the auction.
He said no, thats fine, just wanted to know when I might expect it.
Up to that point, I would have taken a chance and shipped, but he pulled
contact info on me, just 2 days after the sale, and that was enough for
e.a
I requested through ebay that the transaction be cancelled, haven't had
jreply yet, I haven't much doubt he'll refuse.
Come what may, this silver is not going to be sent to this guy, I might
ustvo
as well give it to a hobo at a park than ship it into an international
id
without tracking, and have a "not received" complaint within a week.
The USPS offers a Proof of Mailing (or similar name) receipt for about
75 cents. Should cover you as far as any "guy didn't mail my item"
nonsense. I put one on every package I send to Italy.
I used to have a number of Canadian cusstomers (sic) who would
carefully break items perfectly into halves and return them with a
nasty note and no prior contact. One ass tried it twice and I
explained to him that I had easy proof of his deed. No further
contact, no threats or complaints. Still, I reported him and he
vanished.
I'll check into that tomorrow, I'm doubting that any "proof of mailing"
will impress paypal in the least, who require tracking as proof it was
sent.
