There's a local co-op here that I keep meaning to go to. "Organic" is big there, which I'm not locked into whatsoever, but they do have free-range eggs and chickens. Locally grown produce, too. I should go.

I missed the co-op meeting last month, and haven't heard from
them since. I think I'm glad I didn't pony up the seed money.
I'm just looking for fresh food, and my dh's is going to be
really surprised that he's being weaned from red meat.

Don't tell him. If he's like mine, he'll eat what's put in front of him. Maybe eventually he'll say something about craving a hamburger or steak. But we eat so little red meat that it's really unusual to have any.

I can't stand it much anymore, and you're right. If it's on the
plate, they'll eat it. I've even fooled him with undercooked
eggplant (he thought it was chicken).

My vegan son has gone back to eating dairy and eggs. Hurray! Pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving!

I actually ate an Amy's vegetarian lasagna last night, with tofu
in place of the cheese, and it was great.

Pumpkin pie. That's worth the pain.
