Re: eBay Is costing us sales

There are two reasons I prefer direct CC over PayPal:

1) With PayPal you need to watch closely to ensure the funding source
is selected appropriately, if some or all of the funds are withdrawn
from your PayPal balance rather then your credit card then you're at
the mercy of PayPal for those funds.

Valid point. If you're deficient in the ability to
look at the bottom of the page before giving the OK,
then it's probably safer to bypass PayPal. I don't seem
to have problems making sure of where my money comes
from when I buy something.

2) In the event of a chargeback (if PayPal's other processes fail
you), you may end up fighting both the seller and PayPal. Admittedly
PayPal goes after the seller first, but if the seller has no
attainable funds, PayPal does have authorization to use alternate
funding sources, and/or otherwise collect from me.

None of which removes any kind of protection you have
from your credit card funded PayPal transaction.

For me at least, noting to lose and everything to gain
by using PP funded by CC.

Your mileage may be measured in country miles.
