I prefer the cashback. If you are a "slow pay transactor",
the CC issuer pays you to use the card, in cash.
Even the common 1% beats leaving that same money
in savings account at the moment.
Using credit cards rationally means staying in the clover,
and never getting near the black hole that starts with
running a balance.
Anyway, isn't there a difference between an e-check
and an Instant Payment that is ACH funded from the
same account? It appears that PayPal covers the buyer
for ACH IPs and credits the seller immediately.

Yes, the instant payment is different (the transfer
between two PayPal accounts).
I've had echecks take 2-1/2 weeks to clear.
We're getting double on the credit cards, because
*all* of our expenses are reimbursed ;)
