Dear Group:
A software trade group is threatening to sue eBay to stop copyright
violations being sold on eBay. EBay says sorry not our problem. After
the eBay victory last week on similar issue the idea of suing eBay
sounds like a wild gamble. It just a venue, or so I hear.

It may be an uphill battle. In last week's decision, a federal judge in
New York wrote that eBay cannot be forced to shoulder the burden of
examining individual auction listings for possible counterfeits.
