I sold an item on eBay for $1.
And in the absence of a listing number, that flags this

The listing said pick up only.
And what did the listing say about deadlines for pickup?
Pick-up-only items always need to address this (usually
because they are eyesores that need to be gone from
the property before the county cites you for running an
unlicensed junk yard).
The buyer paid but has not contacted me regarding collection.
Presumably you haven't delivered FB yet either,
and this why, under the old rules, posting FB needs
to wait until acceptance or resolution.
How long should I hold the item for the buyer to collect?
It's no different than a normal shipment "refused delivery",
which has been discussed several times in the AMOE
archives (go look on google groups).
Absent listing terms on failure to pick up, you need to
hold item until the dispute, charge-back and FB posting
windows close, whichever is longest.
Or you could refund and file a UID immediately.
Or, over a matter of $1, not.
