I didn't quadruple shipping, I raised it enough to cover the recent
hikes, and the [very likely soon] loss of power seller discounts due to
emboldened
buyers leaving unwarranted negs. Sales are better than average, I
suspect most buyers are not going to get shook up over a .40 price
increase, especially when other vendors selling the same or similar
items charge much
more than that to begin with.

when I list somehting I check to see what it's going for, and especially
what my compettion is
charging for shipping, as a buyer I will pay a higher overall price for
reasonable shipping assuming that the seller if he's cheating
on shipping is more likely to be cheating on something else

with the dramatic decline in Americans income, thanks to the bush and
his conservative thieves,
and their outsourcing of good paying jobs or importing of cheap labor, a
lot of people are
qualifying for the earned income credit and are getting in excess
of $3000 back

you can use the price of gas as a selling point, depending on what
you're selling, it can be cheaper to have something shipped to you
rather than going out hunting for it
