Wow, those bastards. PayPal screwed you for that keylogger virus, and
two (yes, TWO) unauthorized withdrawls. You should stand your ground,
and insist that they unscrew you, right now.
When I reported them to Paypal to try to get my money back, they put a
"temporary hold" on my account while they "investigate" the matter.
WIth a story like the above, I don't wonder they are investigating!
Of course this is all done for "my own safety and protection".
You clearly need protection, since you seem so clueless that you blame
PayPal for your own stupidity. There are things called anti-virus
software, and another thing called using one's head and not getting
infected in the first place.
As if most of the population doesn't get viruses at some point or
another. If Paypal can't investigate these things quickly, they don't
deserve your business. Their are options available. If you have to
use it you have to use it. But often you don't.
Little does it matter that I've already changed all my passwords, reformatted
my computer, etc. to protect myself. This "temporary hold" has been
going on for weeks now, I get no where on the phone or by e-mail, and
see no end in sight.
It is there for your protection, don't complain. PayPal is protecting
you, since clearly you can't be relied to take care of your self.
I think the problem is the time needed to "investigate". These type
of things can go on for months. Paypal with all their billions should
invest in more manpower and do this promptly. Peter, your attitude
sucks. The guy asks a polite question, probably symptomatic of
thousands of people using Paypal and you belittle him rudely. Not
good.- Hide quoted text -
yourself. I did learn something....not to come here to ask questions
in the future, so it wasn't a totally wasted experience! I look
forward to the day when Peter gets screwed by Paypal like the
thousands of others who are in similar situations, and I would then
love to rejoice, but alas, that would make me no better than him!
Happy Holidays to All!
