Somethings awry with Search - the old one. I've got some saved searches, and they came up empty or with two items, until I repeated them three times each, then got some results. Not sure what's going on, but it's not good for sellers.
I get differing stuff with searches as well.
When searching pick your keyboards then bracket them for spelling variations. This will help a lot. Say you're looking for a Smith Model One and you don't want the blue, green and red versions:
Smith ("Model One",Modelone,Model1,"Model 1",1) -(blue,green,red)
Now save that search and filter by price and time: since price goes up at the end of the auction, filtering price without time is illogical. 12 hours or 24 hours are good timelines. That way you filter out most of the higher priced items. But you better remember to check your My Ebay Searches every 12 or 24 hours! Unfortunately Ebay has not fixed their emailed results for searches and you get auctions ending in 5 days though you've stipulated you only want to see stuff ending in 12 or 24 hours. Way to go Ebay! If you search manually it works fine.
Yeah, I had some stuff in parens and the search was dropping them. They've taken off access to that new search they've been playing with - what a piece of crap that is! But someone is screwing around with the regular search. Probably because they won't let him play with the new one for a while. They should all go on holiday leave until new year.
