leave feedback immediately, usually when I ship the item. I am

You're absolutely right, of course. Do what works for you, and ignore
the cowardly among us.



Some sellers - and buyers - use eBay to get feedback. Others are
interested in selling and buying. You can tell the difference by their
feedback "policy" -- sellers who won't post feedback until the buyer
has, are not really interested in selling, just in accummulating
feedback. Some will tell you that they don't post feedback until they
have heard from the buyer that the merchandise has arrived and is
satisfactory. I suspect they lie. They won't post until they get that
precious feedback comment.

People who are there to sell, on the other hand, generally post feedback
when the buyer has paid. Some do it when they ship. These are the
professionals.

I really don't agree with your conclusion. People who are there to
sell can be identified by good pictures, accurate and descriptive
text, and stated and reasonable shipping terms in the ad. They are
also the people who *don't* give more space to their terms and
conditions than they do to their product information.

Both buyers and sellers are hinky about feedback, and tend more and
more to hold back until they see what the other person does. It's
become a CYA thing.
