I'm fairly new to ebay and have an auction that I started at $250
with a Buy It Now for $250. It has one bid and a few days left to
go, and someone emailed me and said they want to get it ASAP and are
willing to pay the original Buy It Now price if I end it early for
them.
Is that against the rules to do?
I'm wondering if they're suckering me.
NEVER NEVER NEVER end an auction early!
Unless the item is demolished or you made a stupid listing error.

I wish they'd allow the BIN to stay there, so if someone wanted to pay that top price, they could at any time, but they remove it after the first bid.
But there are micromanaged options that may cause more harm than grief: No BIN; Goes away on first bid. Goes away after N bids. Goes away after bidding exceeds BIN, etc...
