Had the opposite happen a few years ago. Secretary Chick sends an email
asking if we had a particular switch. She forward my reply to the boss and
a
copy comes to us. Boss replies "to all" and we get his reply to her that
says "We have to have it or we are fucked. But don't pay more than $2,500
for it.". She called and ask how much and I told her $2,500 and it was a
done deal.

We had the same switch in the eBay store at the time for a grand.
