SORRY I did not mean when I search - I meant when a buyer uses the

Is price the default?
I just fired up a browser which I'm sure had no eBay cookies and made
a search, and Ending First was the default.
It's the default on any new search, which is a search made from
the box in the top-right corner.
If you do a search, re-order the results, then use the box that shows
what you initially searched for, the results will come out in the same
re-order. (That's why I've bookmarked a "highest price first" search
result, for quick re-entries in my selected order.)
But carolball is insisting a new or inexperienced user who enters a
search on eBay and doesn't screw around with reordering because they
don't understand it will by default see lowest price first. That may
be the case with eBay stores or something (when I see Store results
underneath mt search results they seem to be ordered lowest price
first), but not on the core site.- Hide quoted text -

LOG on to Ebay from a different place than you normally use - put
anything in the search box and hit search - pretend you are a new user
Read all of the quoted message above, including the sentence which
starts "I just fired up a browser".
Everything we've told her is correct, but she won't get it.
How in the <blank> do you both "log in" and "pretend you
are a new user"? Wouldn't the definition of "new
user" be someone who's never signed up for eBay? After
you've signed up, does she think that eBay gives different
results 8.7 minutes after you've logged on? She's making
my hair hurt.- Hide quoted text -

KRIS I hate to say this but if you would think a little before you
post your hair would feel better
Your forte seems to be finding fault - check the mirror sometime and
look for a possible fault or two
