THEY didn't ask if you planned to write or have written a text book???
Nothing existing profs hate worse than another text that might cut into
their earnings

I finally learned not to buy text books until a new class met - not
unusual for the prof to say he was not gonna use the text for the
course 'cause he did not like the author
