Yeah - well, once the scammer has your userid and password, all
the notification options are changed. So those "modifications"
no longer exist, and you are so far gone that you can't even log
into your myEbay.
mmmm, if you try to change your email eBay sends to your "old" one a
notification to confirm you request...if you don't confirm the scammer can't
go far away :-/
Most phish victims find out they've been
hijacked when the angry emails from buyers come in.
yes, but if they contact eBay it is possible to recover the account, and to
prove their innocence
But some find out when they try to log on, and find that they
can't, because their password has been changed.
i think that's the point!
