I fetched a 1920's Mersman Surfboard table off the curb. They're pretty common, but they can go from $85 - $150 on eBay, and this one is in *really* nice condition.I usually start my Craigs List stuff at the low end of what I think it would fetch on eBay. I figure that's fair, and since the people are saving the shipping cost it's a very fair offer for them. I'm happy that I don't have to fuss with packing it.
That's exactly how I feel.

I thought I'd try it on CL, because I don't want to mess with shipping it - not only would I have to take it apart, but it still has the glass top - ughh - that's usually missing on the eBay listed pieces.
I just spent two weeks sending pictures to an interested party, who *still* can't make up her mind. I decided to just not answer her any more. She could drive out here and see it - I'm ok with that. If she wants to buy it and pay me, DH can drop in the city proper, no charge. But I think she was hoping I'd offer to have him drive it over so she could take a look at it. I'll save it for my estate auction before I play that game.
I can't complain though - it's the first "flake" I've run into on CL. I think we're lucky that Chicagoland is just so darned big that almost anything sells.
