I suspect this is the scam where he sends me a money order for much more
than the purchase price and asks me to forward the excess to a third
party -- if I do so, I discover that his MO is no good and I am out the
cash I sent to the third party.
I replied to him that the selling price is $XXX and the shipping is $XXX
and for him to send me a MO, check, etc., for the exact amount. Told him
if he sent more or less, I will return his payment and cancel the sale.
Also told him if he sends check, MO, or anything but PayPal, I'll wait for
it to clear before I ship anything.
Sounds like this is a scam.
Should I send this to eBay security? Any way I can check on this guy's
feedback?
Well -- I just tried to check out this buyer -- he has no feedback and has
been an eBay member since 30 June 2006 -- yesterday.
Looks more and more like a scam.
