If they do it like they did XP it will be out long before the release

This was months before XP was to be "released" It was a pain in the
ass for a while. Anti Virus was not available, software for anything
you added would not work, had to down load drivers, which took
multiple hours out there where he lived. They finally caught up by
the time I got my first XP. I know I will not be buying a Vista till
it has been out for a while.
I'm not the one to jump on the "must have it now" bandwagon either. I
like
XP and it's great. I also have a few WIN 2000 boxes as well. Contrary to
what most of the uneducated and inexperienced people say, both operating
systems are really bullet proof once you configure them properly. If I
can
get the OEM version of Vista for $90 or less from my supplier I'll try it.
If not it will sit on the shelf.

You have to remember when it happed to my Dad, I was still pretty much
learning how to use a PC. He just went down to CC and bought a package deal,
Box, monitor, printer. It was the "sale of the week thing". Had no idea it
was XP till I opened the box. Of course there was not yet a "dummies for XP"
at least not that I could find, since it was not even supposed to be out
yet. First I could not get the OE to work with Usenet. XP firewall. The help
people at the ISP had no idea. Finally figured it out. Then the printer some
cheap thing, pop in the CD get the "this is not for XP". Then the anti
virus, they had nothing for XP yet. It was a major PITA especially since I
was so green at PC's. I'm sure people that are old hands at PC's will have
fun with it. I feel sorry for the newbie's who decide to buy there first PC,
and get it home to find it's some new thing.
