Wondering just what "natured" alcohol is and how it differs from
"denatured"

Other than what others have mentioned, denatured alcohol is primarily wood
alcohol.

Wood alcohol needs no denaturing. Denaturing applies only to ethanol,
it is the only common alcohol consumable by humans for psychological
effect (without extremely toxic properties.) However, methanol is one
common denaturant, along with acetone, toluene and aviation gasoline,
which contains tetraethyl lead. The denaturant used depends on the
intended use of the alcohol.

Since methanol is far more toxic than , and has other properties
from, denatured alcohol selling methanol as "denatured alcohol" is
illegal and fraudulent.
