shipping to africa

Hello
I'm in need of an ebay product, but when i select the shipping
destination to any african country it displays "compute" or "Not
available" something like that.
For the payment, no problem. I have an american account, I can easely
use paypal to make the payment. But, I want to wheteher there any trick
about that? i mean how to overcome it and end up shipping my product to
africa.
I need your help!
