Hi, I bought an Item on ebay over the christmas period and the eBay
shipping details showed "Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded" (Standard) at
£8.50 and also "Royal Mail Special Delivery" (Priority) at the same
price. {My brackets for US group readers}.
When I checked out on eBay I selected the Special Delivery option and
also mentioned it in the 'notes' section with my PayPal payment.
The actual shipping costs would be £2.06 or £4.25 respectively.
When the parcel arrived, I noticed it had been sent by 1st Class
Recorded, ie the cheaper method, BUT, it had arrived at the same time
as a Special Delivery parcel would have.
I have emailed the seller, just asking if he can do anything about
this, and his response was that he advertised Recorded OR Special
Delivery (I've checked, He doesn't), that his total price is the
cheapest on eBay (It probably is, but I didn't have a problem with
price), and that if I'm not happy he has a returns policy (which of
course wouldn't include the return of the £8.50).
The item is:

Now as it happens, I haven't lost out in any way, BUT I believe the
seller hasn't completed his side of the bargain. Does anyone have any
opinions/ideas of what I should do next, if anything?

Exactly what is your complaint?
