Seen the latest "fad" on eBay? Some, (many) sellers are openly writing
in their listing that if you leave them negative feedback, they will
leave the same for you. No matter if you pay on time, no matter if you
use PayPal and pay them within minutes of the close of the auction. No
matter if they misrepresent what they are selling. No matter if it takes
them a month to ship something only 100 miles. No matter if when you
receive the month late, misrepresented JUNK they sell, and then don't
bother to give the common courtesy of a e-mail reply asking for some
sort of resolution. They leave you negative feedback when you leave it
for them.

Why do I keep surfing eBay?

Here's the latest.

I got a "bid confirmed" e-mail from eBay for a charm bracelet. A CHARM
BRACELET? What the hell am I going to do with a charm bracelet? I didn't
bid on it. My wife didn't bid on it. She doesn't even know my password
to bid. So I just ignored the e-mail.  The next day, I get three more
"bid confirmed" e-mails on crap I would NEVER bid on. 95% of the stuff I
bid on eBay is vintage motorcycle parts.  A CHARM BRACELET? You've got
to be kidding me?

I figured someone "hacked" my user ID so I changed my eBay and PayPal
password.

Then I started getting "out bid" notices. OK, fine, it will all go away.

Or not.

I won the charm bracelet. You know, the one I didn't bid on.

So I write the seller explaining what happened. Seller doesn't care, she
wants her money. I write eBay. eBay doesn't care, seller still has to
pay them for the listing. I again write to seller. She says she will
leave me negative feedback. So I write eBay again. eBay says they will
give me a permanent "non payment strike" on my record.

Why do I keep surfing eBay?

EBAY SUCKS. 

Uhh......if your story is true, why didn't you cancel those bids?   Why
didn't you report the problem to eBay?

Sounds to me like your wife wants a charm bracelet for Christmas.
