Thank all for response. Prior to ordering this book on ebay, I checked
amazon.com. A like-new hardcover one with CD, in exactly the same
title, 'CIW Foundations Study Guide', was $27.00 plus shipping. I saw
the front cover of it on Amazon. This price is still same on amazon
now. Then I came to ebay, and found this title in papercover, only
about $l2.00. I sent an email to the seller, asking whether there was a
CD, but got no answer.
I thought it was OK without CD. I would read it more carefully. It
never came to my mind that this might be an entirely different book
with same title. So I ordered. Now it's turned out this book only has
82 pages. It is just an outline of the topics. It was published by
Computerprep 2 Go. There is no author's name, nor table of contents,
but merely says 'copyright 2001 by ComputerPREP, Inc.' It is more like
an informal manual than a published book.
It is indicated in the information section of the book that there is an
interactive learning CD. But there was no CD in the package. I bought
this book because I just bought from amazon an i-Net+ Study Guide a few
days before. It was in good quality. I was expecting a similar book
for a different topic.
I think this Frugal Media company was not doing honest business.
Experienced buyers are more cautious. but novice buyers should not be
victimized by rampant fraudulence.
Thank all again.
