Don't think so. I can just see it now, the buyer moves and has his old
information on Ebay still and the seller ships to an address that is wrong.
The seller has moved from his contact information or uses a different
address for payments like to a PO box vs. his regristration info which may
be his home address buyer sends to wrong one or even buyer visits seller for
bodily harm. You think that Ebay needs to list the seller's address? This
would kill Ebay's offsite sales even further for now i would have the
information to go directly moreso than before. This new email thing with
more private info is not good for either side. Ebay wants the buyers & the
sellers to communicate more so transactions get completed. This is only done
by emails back & forth with info or by phone calls. By them doing the emails
like this does not get the buyer to say Paypal any quicker does it? Not at
all. This is geared to giving out more private info that may not be correct
even causing more negative feedbacks. Watch & learn. This week we have about
200 auctions ending and i just have that feeling someone will come forward
to change an address. We never had a problem with the old system of the
buyer verifying the shipping address or the buyer asking us for the payment
address here ever. This was not needed and also for the security at Ebay or
for people to hack fake emails etc. this is now your name & address for
someone lurking out there to potentially do something to try to steal your
identity & money. Also for the class action lawyers out there....where in
the user agreement that would be signed when you join gives Ebay the right
wihout your permission to pass along home address etc? Hell, now that
someone lurking out there can hack it from spoofs emails etc..now they can
just do a google search for your name & address to peotentially find your
home phone number! Now is the time to get a PO box if you don't have 1 and
use a different phone number listed on your account. This is not safe!
