Mandated coverage is what the insurers are pushing. They have the gold -

So if you didnt pay the fine, they would send you to jail. Is that your
admission? Hummm?
You've missed the point. Forget the whole "jail" thing your obsessed
about. The point is the insurance companies wanted the mandate to
insure a large pool of payers. But, without the public option, it's just
a way to get more folks to pay. If you want to obsess about the
ramification of not paying... have at it. I try to make some points and
you just pick and choose. Did you not see the link to the insurance
politico contributions you asked for?
Excuse me, but the whole "jail" thing is part and parcel of the
"public option". You are going to have to either a) buy a government
designed insurance policy for a minimum annual premium of $3800, or b)
pay a fine of $750. Where is the "option"? Pay or go to jail.

We will drink no whiskey before its nine.
It's eight fifty eight. Close enough!
Thank you mate, for your kind assistance. The poor wee laddy appears to
be a bit sideways inside his skull, doncha know.
I take him for one of the Rich Democrats, who have way too much
money, and have no idea what to do with it. Rather than do anything
"useful" with it, like spending it on hooch, whores and horses - or
even wasting it on food rent and utilities, they want the government
to raise everybody's taxes.
If only we could put a tax on rich Democrats.
