I asked because I see job postings for NX and mastercam and was
looking to get some information on the Siemens' systems. You have
given me that and I thank you. I have gotten pretty good with esprit
mill, lathe and posts at work but the job offerings are near 'bout nil
and I need to leave. Siemens are buying everything up so I will get a
book and a not-for-profit license of NX and run through at least one
part program. I did a similar routine with Mastercam and now hope to
get Mill Certified up at their shop when I get the money the time.
Your welcome. I understand what you want / need and I'm happy to help
you.
ummmm.... Just duck.
Seems as though this was a dyspepsia-inducing question. But I am
sensing a much bigger Box-O-Hate as yet unopened; so I will simply and
honestly thank you for your time and your reply. Thank you, it helped.
None of that "Box-O-Hate" is for you.
No no. No . I didn't think you or any one was hating in my general
direction. Not at all. This reply would be different of nonexistent if
I did.
As I indicated my last post, I
would be the only post offering real help and sadly I was correct
because the likes of Cliff Huprich, Half Nutz Putz, the real / fake
Joe788, Kriss Hogg, John Carroll, Tom Brewer and Bottlebitch (who
constantly has to engage Cliff Huprich in dialog for his own benefit
making this group suffer even more), etc. have destroyed

This post will offer specifics on training available for Solid Edge
with ST and NX 6.
Solid Edge with ST.
Two independents have created video training for it that I know of.
The first is a basic training DVD. The second isn't quite ready to
launch their video training site yet. When they do the Jon Banquer
blog will cover it. My guess is it's less than 2 weeks from launch.
Siemens also did somewhere around 800 pages of training for Solid Edge
with ST1 and I have it. I would need to get permission to copy it from
Siemens. There is are also 19 megs of training files that go with this
training. I have them as well.
NX 6.
Start with Siemens CAST and then move on to the training thatwww.myigetit..com
has for NX 6 / NX CAM. The myigetit training will cost you a few
hundred dollars and it's well worth it. You can sample some of it free
first.
John Scheldroup has posted links to NX 6 and I think CAST that you can
use if you can't find any other way to get NX6 or CAST. Do a search on
this group using Google Groups.
I work directly with a Siemens rep who has always given me anything
I've asked for in regards to NX or Solid Edge with ST. I'm also happy
to help you by phone or in e-mail.
I also have tons and tons of stuff for Mastercam and I'm also active
trying to build a new independent web forum to offer an alternative to
Outhouse Solutions e-Mastercam web forum which censors and deletes
numerous posts as well as bans their former employees from posting
there.
Cool. Thank you. I found the Seimens' site a seeming better value
http://training.ugs.com/index.shtml. But the I Get It site is a great
find, too.
More courses at UGS and they made the software!. $208 bucks for a
year. There are several NX related courses from a few minutes to
several hours. There are over 100 for NX7.
I will compare and contrast. I like the PC based self paced courses.
No OT at work any longer. No reason and not allowed to work through
lunch any more. PC quality time and some PB&J. Just the ticket. Thank
you for your helps.
