It's you right clicking on a solid but not on Gibbs wireframe
geometry.
You can right click on any edge or geometry and a box pops out with a choice
"2D chain or 3D chain".
Wrong. You can only right click on a solid edge and get this pop up
box choice. You do not get this choice when you right click on Gibbs
wireframe geometry.
Jon, you've stated dozens of times that there's no such thing as
chaining in Gibbs. There clearly is, and you clearly (as if we needed
more clarity) have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
How can you say there in no chaining?
Easy. My Gibbscam days ended when I saw what a total piece of shit
Gibbs SolidSurfacer was for CAD solid modeling.
You mean when you got fired?
SolidSurfacer is probably ideal software for someone who makes $23.50
an hour and who has well over twenty years experience with machining
but only knows one CADCAM package and never had any desire to learn
other products like SolidWorks or the recently released Solid Edge
with ST which I still love using.
What was the ideal software for an operator changing parts on a
"twelve pallet" Matsuura horizontal, that only had 11 pallets? How
much were you making at the time, Jon?
BTW, you may want to take a look at the Neil Jones thread on the
Gibbscam Message Board. Neil Jones started a thread on the Gibbscam
Machining Operations Manager (Viewer), years ago. It's been brought
back to life by a loyal Gibbscam user who is frustrated beyond belief
that their is *still* no way to edit many common machining parameters
in Gibbscam.
Neil Jones was banned from the Gibbscam forum over this thread.
Neil Jones ruled! ;>)
"Neil Jones" was banned because he was a clueless lunatic who didn't
understand even the most basic functions of the software, like
chaining. Just like John Montgomery, billholeman, NeilJ, mastercam
user, Brian Winters, etc.
