Ping Kurgan: Viper Violin

Invented, played by Mark Wood (Experience).
He's stumping for PBS, likened to Les Paul as a muscial inventor.

Proly not cheap.

The pics make them look like guitars, but they are actually held between the
neck/sternum, quasi-violin-ish, and indeed played with a bow. I think there
is a demo.

7 string violin, 7 octaves, seems to have synthesizer ability, effing wild,
a portable orchestra.

Mark wood is juilliard trained, plays the shit out of Vivadi.

Yanni-esque, in that they exploit the psycho/acoustical process of
"flooding" with big bass, big volume, which makes I-IV-V chords seem
mega-majestic.
But *good* I-IV-V chords, yo.

I think I mentioned there's a guy on rcm who makes the knobs for the other
bow-attached synthesizer I posted on.
