I believe Gary was talking about self-tapping screws.

Here is what Gary said:

"I'd probably choose a thread forming screw though in Polypropylene."

Thread forming is not thread cutting whether it's a screw doing the
forming or a tap. I've had good luck using the right thread forming
tap on plastics.
