Use the force Luke. Like on a grinder. Your talking to your buddy
spinning
the wheel down balls out not looking, you stop, look at the wheel and
crank
a few tenths and it hits.

Lucky dude! LOL
When the wheel gets close (if it's like a 1/2" wide wheel), you can
hear it cutting the air.
Your subconcience knows where everything is around you relative to any part
of your body to within millionths. You know when that end mill is one tenth
away, your subconcience knows.
Use the force, not your brain. We are taught skills, and in order to
become a master at what we do we must forget everything we learn constantly.
Our skills must leave our thinking brain and all actions must come without
thinking or processing. All actions must come long before your brain would
have time to process it.
First learn it....then forget it. The way of the jedi. I mean toolmakers.
WTF?
