Sam,
It would appear to me that the contactor is being used but not the
overloads
on the contactor. It looks like they spliced in new overload blocks at
the
bottom (red buttons on them) Possibly because they changed the voltage
on
the saw from 240 to 480 or viceversi and couldn't get the appropriate
heaters. Or those extra heaters could be for the coolant pump. In any
event the back 4 terminals are line and the front 4 are load. Usually
the
left hand set is the auxiliary contacts, and therefore not rated for full
motor current.

The good news is it is just a saw. At most it probably has a blade motor
and coolant pump, maybe a light, and 1 or two limit switches, so easy to
rewire.

Well theres also hydraulic along with 2 vises and ram for auto barfeed as
well as associated controls to cycle in fully automatic mode.

But yes and thanks it sure does look like T1<---= aux and T2 T3 line w/
T4<---= (wild leg)

Hopefully shove it onto the apron within thew next week or so and get it
outa the rain string a branch out there.

Sam,
I thought of that later, but I couldn't see the feeder stuff in your
pictures. If it were me I'd gut the wiring and install an Automation Direct
PLC to run it. You could get it to do all kinds of neat stuff. For those
of you that think this overkill, it's not. I had a PLC controlled cold saw
and it was great. You might even convince me to write you up the control
program in my spare time.
