That's just to move the carriage.

even plan to cut anything other than wood? some routers can cut
aluminum, if so think big.
If you put too small a motor on it you will;
A. need to tke repeated small cuts
B. put on bigger motors
Polymer Man, what kind of cuts can your machine do? Maybe that wll
guide the OP in the right direction.
