Is it possible that the reference cam is now tripping too close to the
grid point?
Didn't you change the encoder/motor/coupling or something?
It worked for a while, then sometimes doesn't?
On other machines, you need to check the position of the cam switch
verses where the index pulse for the encoder occurs. 99% of the time
it is not a problem, so it doesn't always get checked.
What I am talking about is how the control can be configured, to move
till it finds the cam, then continue till it finds the encoder grid.
If the grid (encoder index) is "Right" where the cam hits, it might
or might not get it on that rev of the screw, or maybe the next
rotation of the screw.
Sound plausible?
How come controllers don't have sound card synthesized voice ?
Kind of a self diagnose then spell out a section that covers the
error code.. kind a neat ?
How does it work now when you get an alarm a bell ?
