Yes it does, and I had addressed this earlier as quite possibly being
caused
by an overdamped z axis amplifier.

To check get a oscilloscope and then probe between amp ground and +/-
10vdc
ref pins--your looking for a single reversal upon decel which should then
return to zero just as the axis comes to a complete stop...any repeated
reversing ( ringing ) indicates an overdamped drive--whereas what you want
to see instead is what is called "critically damped"..

said "underdamped" instead...
