The circular error is about .0015" and that is nearly all backlash. When you get up to about 7" diameter, then the wear in the middle of the table starts to add more error to it.

Please click on the link below. Is this a good price for this mill?
Anyone have any experience with the EZ Trak controller? Is it
reliable? Pros....Cons?

Thanks for any info

Yes ...It has the latest 3rd axis conversion. I must have installed 3 or
4 dozen in my territory with very few problems.
.Really nice machine ...however ..
Z can be a royal pain in the ass when going from 2 to 3 axis mode. I made a
nice retrofit for the Z changeover (does away with that stupid Allen) but
BPT went belly up before it was evaluated
Typically Z has slightly less then 5" but to convert from 3 to 2 axis mode
takes just a couple minutes.
Comes standard with a mono SVGA, Do yourself a favor if you buy it put an
LCD in its place... it's really spiffy when the color is available.
That machine will do a 4" circle with XY interpolation with about .004"
tolerance .. not bad for a machine brand new around 37K.
