We've got a Mazak Integrex E-800V with a Fusion 640 control. Whenever I
try to print to a network printer, I get an error message "serial
error", in a box and an OK button. No parallel port (at least
externally), and I'd really like to print out the tool descriptions to
save with jobs. We've only got an 80 pocket magazine with a 6 pallet
changer, so we're changing tools out quite frequently. Anyone have any
ideas?

I'm not positive, but I suspect this is more likely a Windows issue than a
Mazatrol issue. If you are trying to print to a network printer, and the
message is indicating a "serial error" this would imply that Windows is
trying to send the data to a serial printer. Look at the properties for the
printer. Under the "description" heading does it say "serial port"? If so
the printer is mis-configured and needs to be re-directed to the connection
at the server.
