Gears

I've never cut / hobbed gears before and have some questions for the
group for those who have actually cut / hobbed gears:

1. What books do you recommend?
2. Have you cut spur gears before?
3. Have you done any gear shaving?
4. What machine(s) did you use to cut / shave the gears?

I saw this book recommended in another tread:
